The last and final journey!

So I am now in my final year, how time flies! I have been on a very exciting journey in planning and designing my final collection for our Summer show in June. I aim to document this last and final journey within my university years. I hope as you browse you gain inspiration and motivation to start your very own journey.

Exciting new children's wear project

We were given a new design project for this quater of the term, where we had to design children's wear for a Danish based company called Size Small.Follow the journey of my designs and research by clicking on the links at the top of my blog

Finally there

I managed to get a quick snap shot of my finished garment before it went off with the rest of my work to get mark.

Hands on...

So I now have my design ready and I am so excited to start making and seeing my design come to life!!

Being a very visual person, I thought it would be best to create my pattern from the stand working in calico. 

The calico fabric allowed me to work around the figure of the mannequin and manipulate the fabric to a best fit.
Once completing this, the calico pieces were copied onto paper to form my pattern for my garment

Final Design

Using my CAD and photoshop skills, I came up and developed my final design. 

Excited to now continue making my garment and see it taking shape!
